The ECW X-Press: A Walkthough the entire show on 27/01/2009

27/01/2009

Pre-show run:
Well, figure I, why not the pre-show-and-white Room a little rant about what happened outside of ECW?

-Randy Orton wins the Royal Rumble. Excellent stuff. It was honestly not nearly as exciting Rumble as last year. I complain that on two things. One of them had too many guys in the ring at the same time for the majority of the game. I feel for the things interesting it was never more than a dozen boys played in the Rumble. They went far beyond for a long distance. Two of them did not have a Rumble anchor. The guy who's flying for 45 minutes under shock and as intimidating. HBK is a great candidate done, it has in the past, last year it was my son, John Morrison, and frankly it should have been re-Morrison, but he lasted only 19 minutes and not get much to do. Rey Mysterio took a while and had his moments, but he was not quite the big time anchor, which I was looking for. The Rumble has two redeeming qualities … the RVD surprise cameo and the RKO awesome buffet. Randy Orton is, honest to God, to one of my favorite wrestlers, the astonishing considering that just two years ago, there was no guy in the WWE I thought was overrated is more. You know, I think I will next week along a current list of my favorite wrestler. Tune in for it.

Jack Swagga still the Champ. Not surprising, but it's a bit sad to leave, Matt Hardy, the brand is now. My problem is, they are more than willing to ECW RAID for talent for the two other brands (see: Bourne, Miz n 'Morrison) never throw the bones show a C in exchange outside of the draft, which also ends usually shafted with ECW. Anyway, here is the Swagger era.

(Opening Video)

GM Teddy Long is still here with his great music. We are coming off a historic "Rawl Rumble" pay per view. Rumble video package. It's funny that the term "guaranteed a championship match" at Mania, if we consider only eleven months are used away from the No Way Out debacle with Cena and Orton. No matter the video package turns the focus on the Jeff / Edge game, and the debut of Evil Matt Hardy. Teddy confirmed that Matt Hardy will make the jump from ECW to SmackDown. Teddy says we have a great show Got Tonight, as the Boogeyman is in action. Words can not describe how funny it was for me. Jack Swagga! is here. Haha, I'm always Swagger whole brand. He will not be on next week's top ten list, but he is definitely on the march towards it. Jack tells Teddy's right, tonight will be a great will show, for he is champion. And tonight he will celebrate an official championship. Watch out for Crazy Mariachis, Jack! Boogeyman comes for his match up next, Swagga and everything is "later, punk."

Boogeyman in the ring. Ricky Ortiz comes to say Boogey not get to eat worms people like him. Easy to learn to wrestle. Okay, I added that last part. Ricky's solution is a rally towel. Boogeyman to approve. He Ricky beats and clotheslines him to leave out, and Ricky. Apparently this was "the Boogeyman in Action, as these two should be a game, but Ricky have saved. Well, that was confusing. Did Ortiz again only heel? If so, why? If not, what was the point of this segment?

Backstage informed, Jack Swagga Teddy Long that he lost the ECW Championship in the last five minutes. Way to care for your aluminum belt to take Jack. I only say this in advance when it turns out, Hornswoggle won it that I give this show an F, right away. Teddy tells Jack to Tiffany to ask for help.

Promo for the Elimination Chambers at No Way Out.

Paul Burchill vs. Finlay
Finlay works to block a side street headlock and shoulder. European uppercut and stomp to the bar, then a crossface and uppercuts. Finlay nails an elbow strikes back in the face and finally Burchill with a kick, clothesline, and sink knee. Paul hits a corner clothesline and locks in a headlock (Finlay's hurt expression is epic here). If Fit gets out, another for Burchill clothesline and he goes to a neck-wrench. Burchill whips Finlay into the corner and lands a knee in the back. Midget shenanigans time, as a molested Horny Katie Lea. Paul is chasing him, as it is under the ring, Finlay disappears a baseball slide dropkick nail possible. Finlay hits clotheslines, the seated senton, and the great ~ FINLAY ROLL! He nails a back body drop and ends with the Celtic cross.
Winner: Finlay Celtic Cross@4.35

Of course, if it was good in this Match must be found to owe it, Finlay, not bored stiff Burchill. And it was okay. It was not a great game but it was a match Finlay, corresponding to at least okay in my book. They also resisted the temptation to have Finlay Get the squash in two minutes I guess. Four and a half minutes was not ideal (I have six for this special Matchup like), but it's a hell of a lot better than the 2:40 I had somehow expected. And as I said before, we can make some Burchill PLEASE offense who do not like it in the third week of Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling look like? I'm pretty sure if he had taken the C-4, he can be a little better than clotheslines and do a headlock.
Match Rating: 4.9/10

Backstage complains, Ricky Ortiz to Tiffany about how Boogeyman is a jerk. Jack Swagger breaks to her assist in demand awesomely arrogant manner.

A look at Cena's 12 laps. I laughed when I saw the trailer because it looks as a something more interesting honestly exact copy of the Navy.

Backstage are Big Drippy and Tony Atlas Walking. Swagger Jack asks her if she had seen his title. Drippy gives him Attitude (Drippy is at the microphone still awesome, BTW) and leaves.

RAW is Orton recap. You know, I love Shane-O more than the average guy But I also had to buy him a hard time (a non-wrestler with gray hair) hammered the crap out of three young, strapping "future / present of the business" Ringer. The segment was worth, however, come only to "fire ME! FIRE ME NOW! ON!"

Large Tommy Dreamer vs Drippy
Hmm, no evil Colin Delaney Tommy mess up around this time. Striker Grisham's correct grammar. The public is really in Dreamer. Henry shoves him around a little, then a corner is missing free. Dreamer tries a schoolboy, but Henry just sits on the arm, then slams on the mat. Striker is really on the Kamikaze SMark articles in this game, He already has name-dropped Johnny Rodz, Bill DeMott and Stu Hart / The Dungeon. hammerlock to throw in the turnbuckle, and a head butt. Henry locks in the dreaded wristlock. Dreamer gets out, but eats block body. More wristlock, the move is a boring, but this is actually a pretty good rendition of him. Henry takes on a armdrag and goes into a hammerlock. He headbutts the arm as you do, what a nice gesture. Dreamer finally hits a Jawbreaker, but now he's spent. Striker talks to go to a movie with Drippy. Huge. Henry missed a bullet hits, but slam an elbow drop. Dreamer runs with a dropkick, big boot and second Rope clothesline. Atlas with the distraction, but without success, as some contain Dreamer Dropkicks in Henry's knee, equipment for the ECW Dropkick! Dreamer comes from the second rope but get caught, World's wettest Slam and we are done!

Winner: Big Drippy World's wettest Slam@5.28

Honest I said, I did not expect much from these two. Dreamer is better against smaller guys. Drippy, again with the updating of the poor against them Perk. However, they worked to their sportsmanship restrictions, Incorporated submissions / Dreamer 's arm injury pretty, and she had me really thinking maybe win Dreamer (given Speaking to two weeks). So this was a more than passable midcard match.
Match Rating: 6.3/10

Backstage, Teddy and Jack Tiffany bow a little more help. He decides whether they go to the ring, the title could magically appear.

In the ring, says he feels like a third Teddy teacher says, and the joke is over. The thief, it is now to get out, and no harm will come to him. Swagga says it's lame, and says he wants her back now. Cue Hornswoggle music. : (

Finlay comes with a microphone, he says, give him a second, and pulls Hornswoggle w / belt from under the ring. This segment is to fail 100%. Finlay Hornswoggle asked to apologize, which of course leads to 'Ah, ah! AAAAAHH! " Correction. This segment is now 200% fail. Swagger calls him a monster and says Finlay must put him up to that. Finlay denies it when he wanted the title he had to win just him. "The only thing worse than your chances against me for my title are your skills as a father. "Hornswoggle is out there and Swagger piefaces him. Cue Finlay beating the crap out of Swagger. Look, I'm sure will Swagger vs Finlay a great game that should be first. But that was depressing in every way possible.

Overall analysis:
Look, I promised from the start that Hornswoggle Main Event Interview = automatic F. I was joking, but on further review I have no reason to give this show was a really fun-Henry F. Dreamer, but we only had two hits, just minutes from the ring time ten, and no Miz and Morrison, so no Ackbar either. This was not quality television, and the next Leprechaun in the Muck Swagga's fresh reign up with many possibilities storyline is a terrible, terrible thing.
Overall, Grade: F
Rating Leprechaun-Free Show: C-
