Why does my son (fully potty trained, 4yoa) not to stop playing with toys and go potty?
It happens when he playing play station with wrestling or action figures involved with wrestling? He will poop and pee in his pants rather than break the game takes care of his business and then to his game. He knows how to pause the game. We have since taken the game away. Now he is using (to do, he does not even have the actual figures wretsling) action figures he will use cars and rename them and make the games up, etc., but now that he plays this way, the same thing, he will poop and pee in his pants. He does not do this at any other activity or at school? I do not know how to handle it, I know angry, disappointed, to punish, ignore ……….
I had this problem too. Do not be crazy to punish or ignore. Set a goal and work to break the habit as a team. To get out of this habit Focus to support him 100% accident free for the next few weeks. (I know he is trained, but you want to reteach the part with such incidents). Tell him you know he can do it better and you will help him. Tell him you understand the timing and take off fast enough yet difficult part, especially at home and you will help him for a while. Solutions 1) If he does not mind pollution, that the difficult part is to overcome. You have to step in and make sure he tries to poo on the toilet several times a day. Just go to the bathroom with him and carry him a few times. I give a chocolate chip for every little push, if he or Poos. This prevents accidents and brings him out of the habit / comfort is in his pants. 2) If the toilet feels like a struggle for him, perhaps lining is too hard. Try to ensure that all his pants are elastic cuffs (no jeans, offer additional assistance if he snaps or zippers). to help 3) Offer him go more often to the bathroom. Use a timer to remind him of it and perhaps offer a tiny treat any time during this time is the idea of helping him 4 his accident-free for long enough accidents to break the habit) Possession of a bathroom, where he needs routine to go after every meal or snack. This teaches him a natural time To go before the urge is really strong and he has an accident. The routine of his time spent away from home is probably a factor in what helps him to avoid accidents There.
